Transgender Services

I first began to appreciate the journey of transgender persons in 1993, long before I became a psychologist.  I work with transgender persons regularly in many different contexts.  Some people are currently exploring their identity, some are actively engaged in transition, while others are working on issues unrelated to their gender and want to work with a therapist who "gets" what it means for them to be trans.

As I do when working with anyone, I want to understand your journey and how it is that you understand yourself.  It is not my role to decide what your identity is but rather to help you more clearly know and acknowledge who you truly are.

I am a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and make use of the latest Standards of Care when working with persons on transition and/or providing an evaluation for hormones or surgery.
